I’m a Senior Citizen and Love it

This is my tough look

This is my scary look. I’m actually quite harmless, I’m told.

Welcome to Senior Citizen Fun my newest site that acknowledges that I’ve reached the ripe old stage of senior citizenship. (Actually I arrived quite a few years ago, but simply lived in denial or some other purely stupid thing.)

Arriving here is probably the best thing that ever could have happened in my life.  I’ve often said that if I were to die today, I’d be satisfied with all the things I’ve done and that keeps me pretty excited.  However, is there more to do?  You bet and starting this blog is one of those things.

After all when you become a senior, there are all sorts of perks that go with it.  You get discounts on lots of stuff like movies.  You get cheaper prescriptions if you need them.  You get respect from the younger folks (sometimes) and you have a worldly knowledge that’s the envy of our younger folks. George Bernard Shaw said that “Youth is wasted on the young.”   If you’re retired, you now have the time to finally do the things that you were too damn busy to do when you worked for a living.  It’s a great time to be alive if you have your health and a positive and objective outlook on life.

I’ve always wanted to write about the stuff I’ve done in my lifetime and this blog is the perfect avenue to do it.  Not only that, but now others, who I’m inviting to submit content, are going to be able to share their life experiences too and generate great stories for us all to enjoy.  Now that’s going to be fun in my mind.  What do you think?

Websites for PhotographersOH I should mention that my life has been consumed by photography for the last decade or so and one of the things that this website is going to have on it are links to my photography sites.  Some of those sites are part of my marketing arm and the information that I share on them as adverts for those sites has been a large part of my life and I fully endorse them.  If you want to find out how to market your images or artwork simply click on the ads.

Over the next few months, I’m going to gather notes and video of interviews I’m making to share some great stories from the people I’ve met.  By the way, you don’t have to be over 55 to share with me.  One of my favorite people that shares her story of an exciting life of travel is a young lady named Camille Willemain.  Camille is a world traveler that chucked the comforts of Seattle and a career to become a nomad travelling the world and experiencing things in the most unique way possible by backpacking.  Have a look at her blog here and be inspired as I am.  www.thisamericangirl.com  I’ll be sharing a lot more sites of other bloggers too as we go along.  There are some amazing people out there sharing their lives and knowledge about just about anything you can imagine.

Also, why not subscribe to my site and tell me your story too..  If you have a blog you would like me to share with my subscribers, simply send me a note.
